Today I will be blogging about the FOOD in the Allure of the Seas. I will begin by saying that there are multiple restaurants, many opportunities to eat during the day, and just food, food, food. There is literally food everywhere you look. But not necessarily does IT TASTE good.
The cruise has restaurants for everybody’s liking. It has an Italian Restaurant, Tapas, Hibachi, Mexican, Johnny Rockets, Brazilian Churrascaria, Chops Restaurant, Steakhouse, Captain’s Table, Buffet Style Dining, and Main Dining Room. Wow, I am full already…..
Most of all of these restaurants are not included in your package. They cost $$$$$$$$$$$$. Some are less than others but you still have to pay extra $$$$$$$.
I went to almost all of them.
The Tapas place is good for a one time seating. The pricing is good and it is very filling. I would give it a 6 out of 10.
The Hibachi Restaurant was boring since the life of the meal is the chef and he wasn’t that appealing or funny. The food was mediocre. Nothing to say WOW.. I give it a 4.
The Mexican Restaurant had very little selection and not kid friendly. I stood up and left.
Johnny Rockets is Johnny Rockets same as everywhere.
Brazilian Churrascaria was a nightmare. I asked for the meat to be median rare and it always had to be sent back since it came well done. The waiter didn’t know how to face us anymore since the kitchen kept giving him the meat well done. Besides it had no taste whatsoever. I would give them a 4.
The Chops Restaurant and the Steakhouse 150 Central Park had a good selection and the food was good. The taste was on point. I would give them an 8.
The Captain’s Table was superb. It had exclusive multi-course dinner with wine paring. The ambiance was excellent and the food tasted incredibly. I would give it a 10.
The Buffet Style dining had different featured foods every day. This is included in your package. Simple yet tasty. I would give it a 6.
Now finally the Main Dining Restaurant. I only went once and that was enough. The food was bland and with poor presentation. Not sure what happened that night but it was not good. I would give it a 3.
The room service menu had a big selection which was good, in case you want more food than what you already had…..
And of course, there is always mid-night pizza!!!!!
Overall I was disappointed since I always enjoy the tasteful variety of foods from Royal Caribbean.
Sorry Royal Caribbean. I am a fan of yours but not this time!!!!!
